National Association of Medical Examiners Foundation Hosts Fundraiser


University of Kansas School of Medicine graduate Dr. Kris Sperry is a forensic pathologist practicing in Peachtree, Georgia. Dr. Kris Sperry is a National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) Fellow.

NAME supports the professional development of medical examiners and disseminates information critical to the field. The associated NAME Foundation raises money for fellows, residents, and students to attend and present at NAME conferences. 

On October 20, 2019, the NAME Foundation will hold its annual fundraiser in Kansas City, Missouri. The event is open only to attendees of the NAME Foundation Annual Meeting. 

This year’s speaker is Dr. Andrew Baker, who will be giving a presentation titled “The 9/11 Attack on American Airlines Flight 77 and the Pentagon.” After the September 11 attacks, Dr. Baker was one of the forensic pathologists who identified and autopsied the victims of American Airlines flight 77.
